This policy describes the cookies actually used by simeonovlawfirm.com.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser so the site can remember certain information between visits, for example, your language choice.
Necessary and functional cookies (no consent required)
- pll_language, remembers your chosen language (Bulgarian or English). First-party. Duration: 1 year.
- sv_cookie_choice, remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner. First-party. Duration: 1 year.
- Login cookies (wordpress_*), set only when logging into the administration panel, i.e. only for firm staff.
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
If you click “Accept all” in the banner, the site loads Google Analytics 4, a Google service for visit statistics (which pages are viewed, where visitors come from). For this purpose Google sets cookies:
- _ga, distinguishes visitors. Duration: 2 years.
- _ga_*, maintains session state. Duration: 2 years.
The data is processed by Google under the Google policy. If you choose “Necessary only”, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
Client-recognition cookie (only with your consent)
sv_client, set only if you have chosen “Accept all” and have made a payment through the website. It marks that this browser has already used the firm’s services and serves to distinguish existing from new clients, including in our statistics. By its nature this is a profiling cookie, first-party, never shared with third parties and not used for advertising. Duration: 2 years. If you choose “Necessary only”, it is not set.
Third-party cookies
- Google Maps, the Contacts page embeds Google maps showing our offices. When they load, Google may set its own cookies.
- Stripe, card payments take place entirely on Stripe’s secure page (checkout.stripe.com), not on our website. Cookies there are governed by the Stripe cookie policy. Our website does not load Stripe scripts.
What we do NOT use
The site uses no advertising cookies and does not sell data to third parties. The only profiling is the sv_client cookie described above, set solely with your express consent.
Changing your choice
Delete this site’s cookies in your browser settings (or just “sv_cookie_choice”), the banner will appear again on your next visit and you can choose anew. If you block functional cookies the site will still work, but your language choice will not be remembered.
